Stephen R. Geller

Stephen R. Geller, of West Orange, concentrates his practice in real estate, land use, environmental litigation, regulatory matters and commercial transactions. 

Mr. Geller has defended cases before the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and other state and governmental agencies. He has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental law and development, including site remediation, insurance coverage litigation, permitting and enforcement, site acquisition, regulatory approvals, construction contracting and claims. 

Mr. Geller has served as counsel to both the New York City Department of Transportation and Consolidated Edison Company of New York, where he handled complex regulatory and commercial transactions.  Mr. Geller also served as in-house counsel for a major real estate developer.  He also worked as a City Planner for the New York Department of City Planning and as an engineer for the Grumman Aerospace Corporation. 

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Geller has an engineering degree from Polytechnic University of New York and a Master of Science degree in Transportation Planning and Engineering. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School where was an editor of the Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
